(help!) Showing one category on the homepage.

  • This is what I am trying to do. https://mattvaillette.com/?cat=7 Make the homepage show only cat=7, my “featured” category.

    This is what I’ve got: https://mattvaillette.com/. It shows everything.

    I’ve been fiddling with code but either what I do doesn’t work or it breaks pages. I’m a newb. And the theme uses functions that I can’t find documentation on, to call the loop in index.php, so I’m extra confused.

  • The Simply Exclude plugin will let you select one or more categories to show on the home page.

    Use the ‘Include Only’ option for Categories/View on Front/Home page, and check only the category you want under Admin->Posts->Categories.
