• I could use some help.

I’ve upgraded to WP 2.3 on my Yahoo! hosted site.
Everything worked fine with WP 2.1

    My blog is on https://www.cdata.com/scanline
I have a subdomain set up as scanline.cdata.com

After upgrading, https://scanline.cdata.com goes to https://cdata.com. Going to https://cdata.com/scanline works fine.

It has something to do with WP settings. If I change WP address and blog address in the options from https://cdata.com/scanline to https://www.cdata.com/scanline then https://scanline.cdata.com will go to https://www.cdata.com instead of just https://cdata.com.

So I’ve checked the admin options, and they seem correct. I’ve also used the PHP database admin tool to check the settings in the database and they also seem correct.

Other subdomains (forum.cdata.com) work fine. I’ve also deleted the subdomain entry and recreated it, but it doesn’t help.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,

P.S. I have 2 plugins active: Akismet and Subscribe2. Also, there was a time where I had to contact Yahoo tech support because going to my blog would seemingly ‘lock up’. It think this may have been the ‘infinite referral loop’ I read about in some other posts. Yahoo might have done something to fix that issue (changed the invisible .htaccess files?) which may have caused my current situation. Does any of this make sense?

  • I had this problem too. All you need to do is go to your options menu in the WordPress admin console and change your WordPress & blog URLs to the new subdomain
