How do I add ‘help text’ in my forms, when the ‘Profile Field Description’ field is for admin viewing only?

I want to stop users using their email address as their username, as the username is also the page link and I don’t want their email address public!

I also don’t want to add it on the ‘Profile Field Name’ (e.g. Username (NOT email)) as it this is also seen on their profile page.

    Hello Bw3em,

You can use ‘Paragraph’ or ‘Heading’ type fields to show help text in form.

Also, you can add ‘Username’ field to form to stop users using their email address as their username. This field is required when user registers on site.

You can hide email from displaying on profile page by following the below steps:

    1) Login to the WP dashboard and go to the ProfileGrid menu.
    2) Here you will see the Groups list.
    3) Go to the group Fields for a group.
    4) Next, you will see the list of fields for that group. You can edit, delete or add fields from here.
    5) To hide fields in profile, disable the option “Display on Profile Page” in field settings.
