help theme Skirmish

  • hi guys,

    i′m a newby with wordpress, css and these things. I am trying to start a blog, really really clean and simple. With loads of work, looks like this now:

    I am having huge difficulties for some stuff might be easy for you..

    1)i′d like to get rid of that annoying black date box next to each post.

    2)(once i manage to get rid of that box) i′d like my posts to be aligned to the left of the blog (the same as the header) , not in the center as now ..

    can you pleeeeeeaaase tell me how to?
