• I am setting up an online store using WordPress. The store is small(around 30 products) and therefore I find WordPress to be very suitable.

I am in between some of the ecommerce plugins. What I am currently thinking about using are:
    – WP e-Commerce
    – eShop

Basically, the features I want are:
    – Has to send an email to the client with the bill. I do not want any payment integrated but just a simple email to the client with order information and bank account numbers.
    – Good (premium) theme availability. I am not very good at design but the site has to look professional. Willing to toss bucks out for that.

Thats about it. I am going to test the two out but if any of you can give me any more suggestions, then I am all ears. ??

  • I’m part of the team that develops & supports eShop.

eShop can certainly send out the emails that you want. It has both Cash & Bank pseudo merchant gateways that allow you to handle payments manually. The emails that are sent out are template-able, so you can adjust them to suit your needs. We have also developed the free Emporium theme specifically for eShop users. That said, eShop should work well with any theme that is coded to WPORG’s standards.
