Help – update crashed my site!
-
I clicked to update to the latest version (2.8.4) but doing so crashed the backend of my website (nothing wrong with the front-end). I could go back to my site through recovery mode and deactivate the plugin. But now the plugin is not working anymore…
The error I got was this: (I removed my domain name in the error message)
“This plugin failed to load properly and is paused during recovery mode.
An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 120 of the file /var/www/domain.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/folders/includes/class-wpml.php. Error message: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method SitePress::postTranslations() in /var/www/domain.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/folders/includes/class-wpml.php:120 Stack trace: #0 /var/www/domain.com/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(307): WCP_Folder_WPML->init('') #1 /var/www/domain.com/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(331): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array) #2 /var/www/domain.com/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php(476): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #3 /var/www/domain.com/public_html/wp-admin/admin.php(175): do_action('admin_init') #4 /var/www/domain.com/public_html/wp-admin/index.php(10): require_once('/var/www/newera...') #5 {main} thrown`
”Please help fix the bug (as a note, I also just updated to WordPress version 6.0.2)
