    I am using the Gridiculous Theme;

    On my page, unfortunately I have been trying to center the page tabs on my navigation menu but can’t successfully do it. What do I need to write/where do I need to place the coding… because I see so many tutorials online about what to type in my code, however, none of it is for Gridiculous – so I’m lost at what I need to do. Any help?

  • I’m using Gridiculous and would like to have a different image featured in the header on each page. I’ve set the featured image in on my pages however it’s not showing up, only the main header images. Is it possible to have a different one for each page?

    @swatson0820 – try adding display:none to h2.post-meta in your style sheet.

    @c.bavota – I’ve got two small questions I’d really appreciate some help with. I see you look in here regularly, so … :o)

    1) trying to find a way of having two or more small thumbnails next to each other in post body, centre aligned. So far no dice – any pointers?

    2) Love the gallery, but how do I make it link to the JPG images instead of attachment pages / Jetpack behaviour? I’ve got Fancybox2 plugin and it works much better with images that are bigger than the screen. The standard gallery / Jetpack sucks a little in this respect.

    I know point two isn’t really your bag so feel free to throw it back, just thought I’d put it out there while I’ve gotcha.

    Gracias Amigo!

    Try asking on the theme’s dedicated forum: https://themes.bavotasan.com/support

    @muppix Here goes:

    1. Look at how the gallery works. It centers the photos according to how many can fit on a line.

    2. The gallery images link to the “lightbox” type effect. If you want to remove this effect entirely you would have to remove the gallery filter from the functions.php file. Comment out line 580 so it looks like this:

    // add_filter( 'post_gallery', 'gridiculous_gallery_shortcode' );

    @staceylindsay The theme is not built to have a custom header on each page. You can take advantage of the random header feature which can get you close to what you are trying to do.

    @c.bavota thanks for the response, but I’m not having any luck with this.

    1. My use case: I want to show 3 or 4 200 x 200 thumbnails in a row, ideally centred in a paragraph or div of their own. These will link directly to high-res JPG files which are shown via Fancybox2 plugin. If somebody wants the high-res versions they can click, but the thumbnails are not big enough to be obtrusive otherwise. When I add them in the editor they appear fine, but there’s something in the Gridiculous CSS which moves each image onto a new line. Example here: https://www.muppix.net/theme-image-alignment/

    2. I commented out that code but got the standard image gallery instead, and all thumbnails in the gallery were on their own lines. Suspect it’s the same thing that’s affecting images in point #1. I’ll play around with this a bit more.

    Oops, never mind. Fixed it with some custom CSS which overrides the display:block rule that’s applied to images. All good.

    Hi, I’m using Gridiculous for a simple business site but I’m struggling with the lay out. I have the layout set to 4 columns (which I believe actually offers 3 column?) with my homepage displaying my latest posts. Now I have one post randomly showing full width along the top, with all my posts squeezed into only one column, and the home page link has disappeared from my menu bar altogether. I’m wondering how I lay the site out with this theme? I’m obviously looking for a grid type layout with previews of posts which contain product and service details. https://www.kwhpublishing.com

    (BTW I tried joining the Gridiculous support forum but I never get the email with my password).

    I’ve realised the random post at the top was labelled as sticky, as it’s gone now I’ve unchecked that. I see all post pages are crammed into the middle column, even on their designated page. I don’t think the theme is going to work for me, because I only want a grid displaying products and services on the homepage, with a separate News & Updates page, and posts opening to a normal page width. Is there any way of achieving the above?

    This may seem terribly pedantic, however, I am fairly new to this.

    First, LOVE the theme!! Even as a beginner, I have had the great confidence in navigating this and getting almost everything I need exactly as I want it.

    However, something so basic as….text. Heh. HELP!? Color change? ??

    Thanks in advance for your genteel support. Happy Saturday Night and Happy Coding!

    @jenniekay — you’re more likely to get help if you start your own thread. Old threads with many replies don’t get picked up as quickly as new, unanswered ones. It also just works better for the forums if threads are on one question, not a bunch of mixed up topics (which certainly was not your doing here, but just FYI).

    Thanks, I figured it out!

    Sorry, new to posting in forums, etc. I have another question, will start a new thread. Thanks for your aide on protocol, and handling it with kindness. It’s very helpful in the learning process.

    Hi there – I really like this theme so thank you!

    My issue is that for me the Category and Author font looks blurry (almost dotted)… I thought maybe I had accidentally tweaked something, but it is like that (for me) even on your test site at https://demos.bavotasan.com/gridiculous/category/post-formats/

    Could someone please tell me how to change that?

    Hey! I have my website set up showing just the teaser excerpts on the front page- how do I adjust how many teasers will be shown and what is the default number of posts? Thank you in advance!!
