Help w/basic editing of custom theme I did not install
-
I am not well-versed in WordPress, but I am beginning to educate myself. I have recently taken a position with an entertainment company, and one of my roles is website maintenance. I inherited this company website, and I have no documentation on any how-to’s. The person who built/installed this site is not easy to reach and even harder to get an answer from, so I feel like I just need to take the bull by the horns and learn how to edit this site without their help.
I have been able to navigate some of the basic fundamentals of editing a WordPress site (editing text, etc.), but I am having difficulty on their next request, which is to update one image from the homepage. When I go into the theme settings, this appears to be a custom theme, so there is no online customization documentation for me to reference. Most of the other website pages have been manageable, but this homepage is a challenge. I don’t know if this is a plugin or not. The pictures are static, but there is a bit of animation when the website is loaded. I will answer any questions you have to help me find the source and how to edit it. I looked at the media that has been uploaded, thinking that this just might be one large photoshopped image, but I don’t see it in the media files.
Any help you can provide, would be a tremendous help. Thanks in advance.
