Help! Want to learn how to add image to center column in twent ten theme

  • Greetings!

    I need an image in a center column WP site. The sidebars are left blank. My goal is to learn how to insert the image in the center column of site so that the text and other images are in front. Placing image in the background is not the problem, since this is easily done in the Appearance>themes>background, and so on. Can you help me?

    I’m sure I’ll be needing some code, so feel free to collaborate and let me know where to write it in, thanks.

    Is this even possible?
