First, make sure that your version of PHP is up to date. The operation is different for most hosting providers, so consult your hosting provider’s documentation or support for specifics.

WordPress requires PHP 5.6.20 or higher, though we recommend PHP 7.3 or higher: https://www.ads-software.com/about/requirements/

If your site is still down, try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

so that was the problem, the PHP was outdated…. and I have no idea what we use for our hosting site… but i clicked on the theme i wanted and then it went all weird and won’t let me click on anything in the dashboard. I was recently made an administrator for the website, so I dont even know If i have a wordpress account to be able to use the link you sent…

Your hosting provider is whomever you pay monthly or yearly to host your site. It’s very important to know who they are, because if you don’t pay, your site will simply cease to exist.

You don’t need a WordPress account to use any of the links, all of that is done on the hosting provider’s end as well.

Your site is passing through Cloudflare as a reverse proxy, which makes it impossible for me to determine who the hosting provider is, but I think the best place to start would the groups expenses, there should be a monthly or yearly hosting bill in there somewhere.

I tried contacting cloudways, but b/c I dont have an account, no one will help

You’ll need to definitely find that account, it’s crucial to have access to your hosting provider.

WordPress itself is just software that runs on a server provided by the hosting provider, so there really isn’t anything we can do to help with that.

Once you’ve located whom you’re paying for hosting and have gained access to the hosting account, refer back to my original reply for how to fix the site: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/help-website-crashed-2/#post-12256369

we cant figure out who the account is with. is there any other way to search for it? everyone i contact sends me to a different website.

I use https://www.whoishostingthis.com/ to find these things out but because you have Cloudflare as an in-between proxy, that kind of makes it useless.

    Have you contacted them? https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/

Overall though, hosting is not free, you are paying a hosting provider, either monthly or annually. Somewhere, at some point, your organization has an expense for this, and the merchant listed on the credit card statement will be who you’re paying for hosting.
