Weird link appearing under header!

I looked at all of those, and couldn’t find the problem.

Someone you probably don’t know had access to your website in a way that they added an advert into your website. This is the basis of being hacked.

I am the only administrator on the site, so that wouldn’t be possible. My real problem is finding out how to remove it. Could you possibly help?

I’m just making a guess but my suspicion would be that it is in your theme’s header.php.

That’s where it is showing up in the inspect element, but when I look at the actual file, it’s not there.

You need to go through all of the resources listed above – simply finding the file where the hack shows up is not going to solve the underlying problem and it will very likely just keep happening.

That’s great. Looking at the link it tells me that you have malicious code. What Andrew provided links to was documentation on how you can revert back to a previous state, before your site was hacked. Yes, it was hacked and unfortunately you will have to take the steps provided above.
