Help with "Aspect" Theme

I recently purchased/activated the theme “Aspect” from DesignerThemes (www.lapdbluelife.com). After four days I’m still awaiting help and I hope someone here who is familiar with the theme can offer suggestions. Any suggestions on any item is very much appreciated. Here’s where I’m stuck;

a) My drop down primary menu works well but the “sub-menus’ under each drop down don’t show up as they did using my past theme

b) There is a predesignated section with two columns, recent posts in the left column and a list of all categories on the right. I’d like to either delete the category listing or at least find a way to reduce the whole list

c) The slider’s images (top of home page) are much too big and I don’t seem to figure out how to reduce the size and link them properly.

I realize I’m asking a lot; do greatly appreciate suggestions (or direction to where I can read up)
