Hi ewolf20, Probably need a bit more information. So you were moving your site to a new domain? And you did exactly what before encountering the wall?

    Hello,
if you are moving your website the best way would be to install the WordPress on the new domain, then install the All-in-One WP Migration plugin, install it on the old website as well, export the file from the old website and import it to the new one. It will do everything for you, from changing the urls to transfering images and database data.

i don’t intend to move my site, i actually want to change the url so it can show up in search engines.

now i screwed up, wordpress says my url does not exist and i can’t access it.

Again I don’t exactly understand what you have done.

So I’m guessing from what you have said that you went to settings> general, and changed the “WordPress Address URL” and/or the “Site Address URL”. Is this correct?

If so, why exactly did you do this?

Also and if so, is the domain name (URL) that you changed it to pointed to your host?

Can you provide both URL’s. The original one and the one you changed to?

    https://localhost/site (website url)

    https://localhost/site (site address)

and what i wanted changed is into this: allamericangiant.wordpress.com

i give up. i’ll just go the blogger or plain old wordpress.com

Ok now I’m really confused. You developed the site locally on your computer (hence the URL beginning with localhost) and then changed the WordPress and site URL’s to allamericangiant.wordpress.com is that correct?
