Hi! I’m using a 3rd party marketing tool known as Pardot. There is a form on a few pages which when submitted redirects to a Thank You Page. This is handled by Pardot. However when Redirection Plugin is enabled it continuously refreshes the Thank You page.

Is this a known issue at all? Is there a fix for this?

If anybody could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated!

    Thanks.

I’ve never heard of Pardot, or of any issues with it. Is it possible to test this? Do you have any redirects that may affect things?

Thank you for your quick reply. It’s still in development on my server but you can access it here. If you click ‘Get a Demo’ and request a demo, that’s where the redirect happens.

I don’t have any redirects which would affect this.

    Thanks!

There are no server redirects happening there. If you don’t have any redirects configured in Redirection there is also nothing for it to do, and it doesn’t affect the front end otherwise

Whoops sorry I didn’t explain properly. It happens when a form is submitted. But it sometimes happens directly here.

That URL doesn’t redirect. The previous one did if I submitted the form, but the redirect is in JavaScript, not on the server. Redirection has no control over this.

The strange thing is if I disable Redirection Plugin it works perfectly.

But thanks for your help and insight.

I think you’ll need to investigate more about what is happening on that page. Redirection has no effect on the front end of a site, other than to perform a redirect from a URL that you have configured. If you have configured a redirect then it will perform that, otherwise it will do nothing and change nothing on the page.

At the moment when I test your site I only see the page being continually reloaded. I don’t think this is even a redirect, but just a page reload.

I don’t know why this would stop if Redirection is disabled, and it may be that this is just coincidental to whatever is triggering the reload.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll continue to research and if I find anything I’ll be sure to report back.

Really appreciate your quick responses and hard work.
