Help with Dance Studio plugins required

  • Hello all, i am planning to setup a website for my dance studio. Have looked around and there are so many different options its hard to comprehend. So was looking for advice what combination of plugins ( or maybe there is one that can handle all) will cover my requirements.
    1) Course ( Dance Classes )
    – Classes can have hierarchy ( beginners, level 1, level 2) where you progress to next class on completion
    — Admin option to over ride and move student to next level
    – Schedule
    — Easy to setup
    — Class can have multiple start and end ( Date/ time)
    — Class starts from January 1 at 10am to 11am, 4pm to 5pm and same class can start next month with different timings etc
    — No of students that can enroll
    — Option of assigning instructor, contact students
    — Manage attendance
    – Calendar
    — List all classes with filter for easy search
    — Student calendar where they can see their classes

    2) Subscriptions
    – Online payment, attached to classes ( Course can have multiple classes so its better that clients pay for each class instead of whole course)
    – Auto renewal with email update before renewal
    – Admin should be able to override payment
    – And i guess other standard functions that admin will require to manage and check payment pending, total amount for the month, taxes etc

    3) Events
    – Student competitions where they can win prices ( this could be just generic event or tied with course but not important)
    – Performance in general
    – Able to share on other mediums (facebook)

    It looks like there’s a lot of custom functionality required here that it will be hard to assemble with existing plugins. I would recommend looking into hiring a professional web designer/developer who can help you build what you want.

    Another possible approach would be to just focus on one feature at a time. It seems like online payments are probably the most important part for the type of business you’re describing, so just setting up a simple site that can take payments might be a good place to start.
