Help with display of selected Categories

Hello,

Hopefully someone can help me figure out what I’m doing wrong or what I need to do extra.

I’m trying to set my home page to display only certain categories which are already being displayed in special feature sections.
I’ve added the following query. Prior to the loop.
<?php query_posts("cat=-93,-86,-9155,-98,-99"); ?>
Which does provide my need; however when I try to follow the navigation to older posts which have rolled off page 1 all it does is reload my front page. What am I missing so that this query follows on to the additional pages?
