Help with Forever Slider – I've read & tried everything.

  • I’ve read over a dozen posts asking similar questions but none of them has led me to how to do this. My site is PathsUnwritten.com

    I have created a new static homepage and moved the blog to a secondary page. I have 3 posts marked as Sticky and each has a featured images, including 1 with dimensions exactly 888px x 355px.

    Still no options for a slider or of one automatically popping up. I’m out of ideas.

    Also, I am curious how you make the featured posts under the slider, similar to https://www.elpanaderocasero.com/

    Thank you to anyone who can help me.

    I don’t think it works on a static page. Under Settings > Reading, you have to have ‘Front Page display’ selected as ‘Recent Posts’.
    For the feature posts in the 4 columns on the elpanadercasero.com site example; Edit the post, off to the right in the ‘Format’ box select ‘standard’ (it has a pin icon on it) and you also have to have a feature image and make it a sticky under the ‘Publish’ box in ‘Visibility’. Hope that helps solve your problems.

    I have the same problem.

    I have made my featured images exactly 888px x 355px and set the image as “sticky.” Any other ideas? I feel hopeless.

    Hi ajableubird – The slider in Forever is displayed above your latest posts on the front page. It won’t be displayed if you set the front page to a static front page instead of your latest posts.

    I’m not seeing Forever in use at the URL above. Is there another place where I can see it?
