help with formatting the header

I’m trying to simply change the size of the default kubrick header. I go to the themes editor tab and on the stylesheet file I simply change the size of the #headerimg tag and hit the update file button. I’ve changed it so many times and every time I view the site nothing changes with the header. It’s driving me nuts! Am I doing something wrong? Thanks…
