    both these tickboxes strangely have inline styles with ‘display:none;’

    however, as you are using a commercial theme,
    please contact the theme author/seller for support.

    without free access to the theme files, nobody here can check the source code to make any suggestions.

    what is the response of the theme’s vendor elegantthemes?

    if you’ve added the subscribe function via a plugin, please post the plugin name and download.
