• Haven’t found a theme I really like…really want one that lists categories and subcategories just below header. Not down the side.
This is a wedding/personal blog. I’d like to build a wedding venue…if/when that happens I will create another site for it, but for now it’s working to blend them.
Also would like someone to just look at my site and tell me how it looks…any suggestions appreciated.

  • Hi!!!
You can create custom menus from your admin panel. Just login to the admin panel. On the left pane, there is an option “Appearance”. In appearance you would find a sub option called menus. In this option you cam create custom menus.

    Hi Diamond E –

I have a theme I used that provides what you’re asking about by default: categories and sub-categories right under the header. I don’t want to detract from your thread by posting a link here, but I have a thread up for a couple of days called “A Noob’s First Site: Tunes/Comments.” The link is in there if you want to look, and I also mention reference to the theme, as someone else asked me about it as well.

I think your site has a lot of information on it — my personal preference is for simpler, that’s that’s purely a style decision. One tangible item, though: it’s a little hard to see your navigation text on top of the cow as well. Now, I like cows as much as the next guy, but you might want to consider a different background there? ??

    Best of luck to you!

    Mark

Thanks to both of you for the info. I will check out both links.
And Mark, I fixed my cow. I bet I fixed her 10 times before I published but with no luck. I think she’s good now!

    Thanks again for the help!

Would just like to point out that you can also get themes from other sites othen www.ads-software.com/.com!

Nerx, will there be any extra technical steps needed after applying a theme outside of wordpress?

Diamond, you can also use your own theme and just go to themes index.php file and list the categories where ever you want to display.

You use “Wedding Bells” theme now, I know you search the theme by keyword “Wedding”,there are only one theme, why not search “love”,there are more themes you can choose.Or you can download a wedding related theme from the internet by google “wordpress theme wedding”.
