Help with permalinks

Can you post a link to your site? Have you flushed your permalinks?

I dont know what flushing means. Im not a coder…more of a simple user of WP. This cant be this hard!

Please check your .htacess file is writable or not ?

Make sure you backup your site before hand.

datta.parad, where exactly is that file located. I briefly looked in the dir and couldnt find it. Is it in a specific folder?

And graphical_force, where is the wp_options table?

Im so confused. Ive been looking at https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Using_Permalinks solid for the last three days.

Why would changing the permalinks to post name work on half the site and not on the other? Could it be some kind of bug?

Figured it out!!! The permalinks were pulling from the original HTML site we had hosted so WP was getting confused as there were multiple pages with the same names. I deleted the old html pages and its working fine.
