Help with Plugin Editor Please – I’m sure this is easy

    Edited a .php file of a plugin in the plugin editor after talking with the author about changes I wanted to make.

    I hit ‘Update File’ when I was done editing, but now the plugin is broken. I’ve determined that is due to the fact that, back in the plugin editor, where it says ‘Editing X.php’ it says (inactive) next to it in parenthesis.

    How do I ‘reactivate’ the .php file now that my changes have been made?

  • Admin/Plugins. Activate the necessary plugin.

    I’m having a similar problem. The plugin file is marked at inactive but the plugin itself is active. The problem occured after I tried to edit the plugin file (core.php of the Pixopint Menu plugin – but I’m not sure that’s related) while the plgin was activated. I’vce tried deleting the whole plugin and installing but nothing has changed.

    I have made changes to the file but these aren’t refelcted in site reloads, so I’m guessing that WordPress has created a copy of the orginal file and is using that instead. How do I go back to using the original?
