• Hello,

I am using the RESPONSIVE template and want to completely remove the 3 widgets at the bottom of the page.

The WP methods I discovered in the support forums have not worked at all and I thank you to all that posted on this subject.

It seems to me that this should be so easy! After 3 day’s of attempts, I still can not completely remove them.

    Please help!!

    Thanks

  • It should be quite simple.
From the DASHBOARD > Appearance > Widgets

You will have a layout of all the widget areas, you can click and drag them into de-activated or parked, and that should be the end of them

Otherwise it could be that they are ward coded into the template, in which case you would expect to find them in the footer.php file of your theme.

Of course NEVER change your THEME files (or core wordpress files), create a CHILD theme and change it.

Suggest that you install and use firebug to see how these widgets are coded.
