• Hi, I am hoping for some guidance on how to do set up dreamweaver CC to edit a wordpress site that has already been installed to a live server environment. I have been hobbling along with the help of a few online videos, mainly this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHWdbhQDbQo.

I have a WordPress install live at dsrstudio.com that I want to modify using Dreamweaver CC. I need to be able to edit .css and change things in the responsive layout, usng the visual tools Dreamweaver provides. I first used DW to copy all the files in the live wordpress install running on my server, to my local drive. Then I set up I MAMP, pointing to those files in applications/mamp/htdocs. I now have MAMP running successfully, and have set up a new database in phpMyAdmin, as the video instructs. It then cuts to a wordpress screen that I’m not sure how the author accesses. This is around 5:30 in the video where she talks about creating a new database in phpMyAdmin, which “brings me to a page like this, where I can create a configuration file locally on my machine, plug in my database name, etc. – so #1 I’m not sure how I access this page on my local wordpress, and #2 I’m not sure how to set up my local server in Dreamweaver, where it asks for the server folder. Is this the same location as where my local site is in MAMP/htdocs? There are so many parts to this to get wrong. Also this page says to do the wordpress install locally but since mine was a copy over from the live server where it had already been installed, I’m not sure what to do. https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Installing_WordPress_Locally_on_Your_Mac_With_MAMP
