    Hi all

I need some technical help with the structure of our woocommerce website.

We seem to be getting all the product attributes being indexed which ok it is good to have more pages indexed but i don’t think they add anything to the structure of the site from the user perspective

My main concern is the issue of duplicate content i put the site through one of the free online tests and it flagged these attribute pages as duplicate content which is a real worry.

Here is an example of one of the product attribute pages being indexed

What do i do? Do i leave it as it is or is this causing me some serious indexing issues have the attributes being indexed.

    Thanks

    Hey there,

Help within the forums isn’t always fast, though we do try to help everyone in the right direction.

My main concern is the issue of duplicate content i put the site through one of the free online tests and it flagged these attribute pages as duplicate content which is a real worry.

You can leave this be if you prefer, though it may cost you some ranking due to duplicated content. If you want to dig into this further, I recommend looking into Yoast’s SEO for WooCommerce, as they’ve done quite a bit of work around it:

    Hi Hannah

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes using the Yoast plugin which is great.

Yes the dupe content is my real worry but i am not sure how to stop these ranking but at the same time not affect current ranking of the site i don’t want to take a step backward by doing the wrong thing.

Just to add to it i am not sure these pages really add anything to the user experience but i really dont want to mess up the SERPS for the site

I’m afraid I’m not too much of an expert on SEO. If you’re using the Yoast plugin, I’d recommend reaching out to Yoast themselves.
