help with the hueman theme updation

  • after posting a topic about error showing while creating a child theme , i want to know if updating my hueman theme to the latest version will change my settings and locations of my widgets and sidebars . I didn’t modify any code or added any code to customize the layout so if i update the theme will my settings be removed and do i have to start everything on a newly built hueman theme and follow all the customization like before .

    on theme’s update your settings are kept.
    Though updating from a very old version, since a lot of things have been changed, might require further tweaks.

    The best way would be doing the update procedure on a staging website.
    In any case it’s a good practice, before updating WP core, a theme or a plugin, to make a backup of your site so that you can always roll-back if anything goes wrong for whatever reason.
