I don’t think the WebP format is working. All my pictures (.png, .jpeg, .jpg) are still with their original formats. But I am not using the Cache Enabler plugin because I have already purchased and configured the WP Rocket as my main cache plugin. Should I install the Cache Enabler plugin too? Does it work with WP Rocket?

Note: I did a bulk optimization of all my pictures using Optimus HQ and configured the options.

Also, I wanted to ask you what exactly “Append .webp extension” is? Should I enable it? I’ve checked your website but I can’t find any information about this option.

  • WP Rocket doesn’t currently have a WebP option as far as I’m aware therefore you will need to uninstall it and install Cache Enabler instead with the .webp option checked.

The “Append .webp extension” option is only required if you’re using a plugin like LiteSpeed cache for example.

Thank you for your quick reply!

After installing Cache Enabler all my pictures were automatically converted to webp (well, that’s when I am not logged-in on my site at least). I’ve contacted WP Rocket to let them know about the problem, I hope they will fix it someday. Until then, thank you for your support and happy new year to you and your loved ones!
