• I use Yahoo small business hosting and built a business blog site using their wordpress implementation. Unfortunately they have not updated their version of wordpress in the two years i’ve been using it and as a result i have been repeatedly hacked, destroying my search engine rankings.

Tonight i tried deactivating the Yahoo wordpress install and doing a manual install following the instructions here:
    https://natespost.com/index.php/install-wordpress-on-yahoo-server/

This worked remarkably well right up to the point i uploaded my backed up wordpress files to my sql server. At that point WordPress stopped working – i think becasue the Yahoo install was at mysite/wp rather than at root so that my files did not point to the correct places.

I was then unable to get into my sql database and Yahoos password recovery tool didn’t seem to work. As a result i’m now completely without a site and have asked Yahoo to reset my webspace (i don’t know if this is possible),

So, assuming Yahoo reset my site and i can rebuild it successfully – how do i restore from my backed up database without running into problems next time?
