Help! WordPress cannot load over wifi

Additional info: I can use the internet with no problem at all.

This is my first site and i have never entered the site using my laptop before. The only time i logged in was on my iphone over 3G. Hence it cant be any plugin isssue of any sort. I would greatly appreciate if anyone could provide me with a solution. Thank you.

I have lots of sites hosted on bluehost and I’ve never had any issues.
Could it be that your site just has too much content and tons of images and thus loading slow. Perhaps a caching plugin might help?

I don’t think that there’s anything wrong with the site. I just loaded it and it came up in less than 3 sec. I’m on wifi here and there’s no delay whasoever.

Yup it can load it perfectly on my iphone 3G too. However it doesn’t load when my iphone is connected to wifi.

It cannot load on my laptop though. I guess it could be my wifi problem. But my internet is working fine too, the only site it doesn’t load is the site i created yesterday. I can load other wordpress site perfectly too.

Yeah, that doesn’t make sense. Sounds like a problem with your Network/Wifi.
Test to see if your phone can pull up the site or not when trying from a different Wifi in a different home.

sounds like a cache problem with your phone. nothing to do with your website anyhow.

Hi Doomslaver – did you ever fix this isse – I’m having ezactly the same proble. WordPress loads fine over 3g – iphone (4s) – but not wifi – My wifi works fine with my laptop – nothing wrong with the internet connection – my website loads up fine on my laptop over wifi – the only thing that’s wrong is with my website on my iphone using wifi.

My website just hangs on the loading page and refuses to upload the home page – weird thing is, if i stop the page from loading then do a page refresh the home page loads instantly.

What is going on?

i solved this problem by contacting my web hosting platform. In my case it is bluehost. They sent me a few detailed instructions to pin point what is the problem. Everything started to work after they found the reason.

My problem seems to be a little different from yours. I wont be able to load my site over wifi, be it iphone or laptop. I could only load the site on my iphone 3g connection. Nonetheless, you should still look for the webhosting platform for help. Im sure you will be able to find a solution soon! ??
