Help! WordPress Failure Notice

    Just purchased a theme thru Envato. Downloaded it and saved it
    as a zip file. When I try to upload it on my dashboard, I keep getting
    WordPress Failure notice.
    Ugh! Help. I emailed Envato, but it does no appear they will be able to help me.

    Unzip the package on your hard drive, then look for a zip file inside that that has just the theme, then upload just the zip file to WordPress. Envato themes usually include readme and .psd files that WordPress doesn’t want cluttering up the themes folder.

    I am not computer savvy, I hate to say. How do I go about unzipping the package on my hard drive?

    On a PC, double-click the file, then look for the Extract command. On a Mac one click will do, it will open in a Finder window.

    ok..so extracted it, found the theme..tried installing and got this message..
    Unpacking the package…

    The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

    Thank you for all your help. I went on the link you sent me. It states you usually get these errors if your word press has not been updated, or you don’t have enough space. But I should have enough space, and I do have the updated version from word press.
    I received an email from Envato. They said the theme I am trying to upload is not Word press compatible, which angers me because I searched it thru word press themes thru google.
    I have asked them for a refund. I have yet to hear back. I am just looking for a theme that has slider capabilites. I had uploaded easing slider but I could not get it to work. I am just banging my head right now.

    Envato has some really good themes – search for an author named Kriesi, his themes are amazing.

    There are lots of slider plugins here in the WordPress plugin repository, if you find a theme you like that is missing the slider you might try using a plugin. Orbit Slider is one example
