    I’ve got a wordpress and some ecommerce software in the same webspace.

    I’ve pretty much made the two system look like one site.

    However, I’m trying to show some links to blog posts in my shop. And I’m using a modification which uses the wp-blog-header.php script, which sets the wordpress environment.

    As a result this has stopped UK pound and euro symbols from being shown in my shop.

    I’ve had a look through this forum and found that some of the wordpress db tables weren’t in utf-8 which I have now changed, settings > reading > encoding was utf-8. However I can’t seem to fix this problem.

    When I comment out the call the modification main call, (and therefore loose my blog posts on my shop) the pound sign return to normal.

    Help!

  • And I’m using a modification which uses the wp-blog-header.php script, which sets the wordpress environment.

    and whats the modification? theres only so many ways to include wordpress functions in other PHP pages

    define('WP_USE_THEMES', true);

    are you using that by chance? if so, set it to no and see if that helps.
