• Hello all

I tried to modify my wp-config.php with a tiny bit of code. (I edit my files via Dreamweaver BTW.)

I copied the entire contents of the wp-config to a duplicate file saved on my desktop so I had a backup.

The modification did not work so when I pasted the original code back in, nothing happened. The blog just went blank. No admin panel, no nothing, just blank white staring back at me.

I tried again fixing things by entering my database info in the wp-config-sample.php and do a “save as”. Uploaded it and still it did not work.

Any help would be appreciated. There’s nothing to see there at the moment but m blog is located at: https://lawsonarchive.com

I discovered the wp-config had not be closed with the proper ?>

Also, I think Dreamweaver was not successfully interacting with the server, so uploading the correct file was hit or miss. The tell-tale sign was that file size should have been 3K, but it was always showing up 0K.

I switched to editing in TextEdit (will invest in a decent text editor) and uploading via Transmit. The latter made it much clearer & easier to know that I had uploaded successfully.
