Help!!Crap I have f**ked up my login whlie messing with my settings

    I just bought a new domain, and was messing with the settings on my existing wordpress install. I amended my wordpress url to be different from my domain url.

    What I was trying to achieve was to have my domain end-of-silence.org show in the address bar, but point it to my /blog wordpress install that I had at atheist.nu/blog, so I wouldn’t lose any of my content. But I don’t want it to show as end-of-silence.org/blog. So I was messing with my setting but of course I didn’t know what the hell I was doing, and now my site has no formatting, and I can’t log into my admin section. Crap!!!!

    Using cyberduck, can I log into my install and move anything around in order to get access to my site and change it back for the time being?

  • You’ll have to reset those values in the database using phpMyAdmin. Easy instruction here.

    Thank you! Worked like a charm!

    I am assuming that in order to have the site show as end-of-silence.org without /blog added to the end, I will need to move my wordpress install to /. Is that correct, or will that mess up things? I want to careful not to mess with all my existing content and pages and will want them to still be found via searches, but that goes without saying!
