Here’s a simple workaround for Genesis 3.0

  • Since this plugin is no longer maintained, and Bill Erickson’s Disable Genesis Customizer Direct does not work for Genesis 3.0 or above, here is a simple workaround.

    For the Genesis sample theme – I don’t know if it works for other themes.

    In config/theme-supports.php
    Change line 37:

    ‘genesis-footer-widgets’ => 3,
    to
    ‘genesis-footer-widgets’ => 4,

    Or 2 or 5 or 6. As you prefer.

    Voila!
