    Hi there!

It’s not coming from WPP, that I can tell you (and since it’s open source, you can even examine its code and see by yourself).

When did this start happening? Did you install any new plugins / themes recently? Also, please share your site’s URL next time you report an issue.

    Hello,

It’s my client who sends me this, i’ve never been able to reproduce it ??

He asked me to remove all the ads from his former advertising agency, and tell me there is still an ad here.

The last plugin i’ve installed are Wordfence and IQ Geo Block.

    The website : https://golem13.fr/

Of course, as I said before WPP doesn’t insert ads on its own ??

Unfortunately, there’s something blocking Ajax request on that site (either a security plugin or some .htaccess directives) and thus WPP isn’t working on that site at this moment.

The ads are coming from either a third-party plugin or they’re being injected into the list via the theme’s functions.php file using WPP’s filter hooks.

Ah, Wordfence might be the reason why Ajax calls are being blocked.

I can see something like that in the functions.php file.

The posts list haven’t change since few days, at least since i’ve installed Wordfence and IQ Geo Block, is that the reason ?

Is there something i can do to avoid this problem ?

You mean the reason why WPP isn’t working? If so then yes, Wordfence is most likely blocking all Ajax requests. You should ask the Wordfence team what is the best way to let plugins make Ajax calls while keeping your site secure.

Can you tell me how i can see if WPP is working well ? Because the plugin appears in the sidebar, but not seems updating the post list in function of the popularity.

It will be more practical to make some test.

    Thanks !

PS : In my previous post, you should have read “i can’t see” for the functions.php… My bad.

Foe example, if you check Chrome’s developer console you’ll see a “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden)” message. Expand it and you’ll notice that this error is related to a wp-admin/admin-ajax.php call blocked by the server.

I’m guessing that this site is also using a caching plugin, so disable it and you’ll notice that the WPP widget isn’t even loading on the sidebar.

Ok thanks for the tips !

I’ve block all access to the admin side of WordPress with IQ Geo Block, except for France’s IP, maybe it’s linked too. I will makes some tests.
