    Hi

I just purchased the Adminify plugin especially to customize the WordPress backend and the menu in particular. I really liked the Hidden for Rules feature. Unfortunately it is not working correctly as when I select a role the menu item disappears for all roles not just that one.

Can you please help on this as I need to deliver the site very soon.

    Thanks

    Hi

Thanks for the swift update. Although it is not yet showing there is an update I downloaded it from www.ads-software.com and updated the plugin successfully.

The good news is that there is an improvement as items are only being hidden for the specified role. But unfortunately not all items are being hidden.. It seems custom taxonomies like Projects, FAQ or Testimonials are not being hidden and also all sub-menus entries are not working as well which is worse than the taxonomies.

Please have a look at them as well. Thanks

    Hello @dadudo2000 ,

Please allow us sometime. This issue seems a little complicated and our dev team is debugging this. We able to produce the issue in our local server and trying to find out a solution. Maybe within 1 or 2 days we will release a new update with this fixing and some other tweaks too.

Also, while testing I noticed that hiding submenu for specific user name is working fine but not working for specific user role like editor.

You mentioned that ?custom taxonomies like Projects, FAQ or Testimonials are not being hidden. Can you just let me know if these taxonomies are under any submenu or these are main menu in your admin menu?

    Hello @dadudo2000

That was a little complicated issue and finally we have released a new update with fixing the submenu items hidden role feature.

Please update WP Adminify plugin and try it yourself. I recommend you to clean your dashboard cache (if you are using any performacne plugin) after updating WP Adminify.

Let me know if still there is any issues.

    Hi

    Thanks for the update.

I updated as requested but unfortunately it is still not working…. Getting a bit disappointed now and starting to think of getting a refund as this functionality is important to me.

    Hello @dadudo2000

Sorry for the issue. Here I have recorded a video for you: https://www.loom.com/share/eac1c971a0e04dfe8744ea67b4739a94?sid=67e7911e-2657-4468-93e1-cf14f78cd5f8

In this video I am using the free version of WP Adminify plugin. I have hidden the menu for adminstrator first. Then logged in as editor in another browser. Hidden the submenu item under media.

Generally, I have tested the hidden for roles properly. Can you please check this in a different test website and let me know if you face the problem.

Also, I assume that you are not using any other menu editor, or user role editor plugin in your website, right?

I am pretty sure that the issue is causing because of conflict with any existing activated plugin.

Please try this in another temporary website. You can use tastewp or instawp to create temporary WordPress website too.

    Hi

The plugin as it is currently is not even saving any changes I submit. It looks like it is stuck in the last configuration I had. I tried to uninstall the plugin and re-enable but it picks up where it left. Can I somehow reset the plugin to its default? Maybe clear the table from the back-end database?
