Hidden/Invisible SCSS folder

Hi there,
I am having some real trouble with customizing this theme. I keep seeing rendered CSS with files like “_navigation.scss” and “_reboot.scss”. In an earlier thread, you claim that this theme no longer supports SCSS, but there is SCSS in the theme.

I have no problem with SCSS, but why is it buried or made invisible? I see all of the other directories in the ‘inc’ directory, except the ‘scss’ one.

Am I missing something here? I am working on a project for a client and am wasting a lot of time trying to work around this hidden scss thing.
