Hidden Page / Work in Progress

    Hi,

    I would like to hide or have a work in progress page whilst im building my website. How do I go about doing this as I dont want anyone to stubble on a incomplete site.

    Hi Rich,

    The easiest way of doing so is building a simple home.html page with text on it, for example: “Website under construction”. This will not show the WordPress home, but will show the content on your home.html file.
    After you are done building your awesome WordPress website, you can then delete home.html file.

    One way to hide your work in progress is to install a plugin. From your dashboard, click plugins, add new, and search for “coming soon’ or ‘maintenance mode’. Adjust the settings if available (often in the installed plugins list under settings), and activate the plugin.
