hidden pages

im currently using textpattern, but since testing wordpress im really considering switching over. my only concern is this: i have a section called “videos” and on that page i have links to videos and movies (hosted by youtube and google). i have each video on a seperate article, so in wordpress is it possible to have posts or pages so they dont come up on the main page or on the sidebar so i can have that link to the video post?
