• Hi, is there a was to create pages or posts that will be hidden from the general public, but can be accessed via link that I send out? The only way I cna do this now is by making people sign in and I don’t want that.

    Thank you

  • If you use custom menu if your theme supports custom menu then you can have just the pages you want on menu.

Excellent, idea. I suppose that works with posts too, not just pages…

Now what about “search” options? Can’t they accidentally stumble upon those pages if they do a search for something?

Also, there’s a “next/previous” link at the bottom, so if I send them to one of the pages, they may be able to get to the rest of them.

How would I eliminate those two problems?

Maybe I wasn’t clear. Let’s say I create posts/pages and exclude them from the menu. Let’s say I email the link to someone and they decide to find more “hidden” posts and they do a search. How can I prevent this?

Are there any other ways to find these posts?

The other way to do it is to password protect the post or page when you publish and send them password who you want see the post or page. You have three options public, password protect or private.
