Hidding some of the Controls in Embedded JW Player

  • Hello,

    We would like to hide: Share or Embed This Item, Embedding Examples and More Formats
    in the JW player.

    We have tried several tests with different embedded codes, CSS and adding code to our template header, we have not made it happen and hope we can get some inputs from JW Player support, so we can get it working.

    Hi Finn,
    if you’re using a cloud player you can set all the options directly from the JW Player dashboard.

    Otherwise, using a self-hosted player, you can decide if let the user share and/ or embed the video or not, just by using the dedicated tools in the plugin options page.

    Thank you for your reply.

    We can’t see the share option in the JW Player (free version), so it is properly a part of the Pro version or something we have overlooked.

    The link should work, but right now we are using YouTube and not the JW Player. By using various shortcode we have nearly managed to stop all the controls in the YouTube player. We never got so far on the JW Player. However, if it is possible to make it happen with the JW Player, I would like to hear about it.

    Hi Finn,

    sorry for the late.

    The plugin options page has a tab called Share, where you can activate also the embed option.
    If you can’t see it, this means that you’re using a cloud player and, in this case, you have to set all the options directly from the JW Player Dashboard.

    From there, you will be able to hide all the player controls if this is what you need to do.
