Hi @lbell, my client has asked if I can show PG Calendar WITHOUT any hyperlinks as they feel the calendar looks too busy. If there a way to do this? After searching this topic I’ve checked the following box in settings:

Disable Event Link (Migrating to shortcode attribute no_link)

    but this had no effect?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Howdy!

It’s unclear whether you’re asking to remove the links from the Calendar (and not show details) or remove links from the details.

For the former, the no_link shortcode should do the trick.

For the latter, it’s a simple matter of not putting links in the body of the event on Google Calendar.

    Does that help?

Thanks for coming back to me @lbell

I’ve asked client (local High School) why the links are there. It’s possible that they are there for admin purposes (ie school staff can add to their personal calendars but they are not for use by the public).

So there’s no way to have links on events in Google Calendar but same events not ‘clickable’ on the website frontend? We do need the information within the links.

    I think I see what you’re asking.

Given that the Google Calendar must be public for it to be displayed with this plugin, it’s important your client knows that those links are publicly accessible, even if they are rendered as inactive on the site. My suggestion would be for them to create a separate calendar for public consumption, and use a different calendar for internal planning.

You can add a feature request to add a shortcode flag to ignore parsing URLs in the body of the event, but note that with limited time and more pressing issues, it’s likely to be a while before I implement that.

Thanks @lbell, I’ve submitted a feature request for this. Understand it could take you a while to get around to implementing so at the moment I guess I’ll be resorting to some CSS trickery!
