Hide an object appearing on the homepage

    Hi!

    I’m working on a site https://www.thescenestealer.com for my brother.

    I am using a theme called Digifoto and I having a hard time with the static home page.

    The theme that I am using comes with a carousel slider. Everything seems to work fine but I can’t get rid of that white bar on the upper left part of the page. I’m not familiar with the coding mostly because I’m new to wordpress.

    I’d appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks in advance!

    AND OH! also, in the portfolio page, is there a way to disable the links on the featured photo?
