Hide back-end url not redirected to www subdomain

I think we’ll need some clarification on this issue.
So if I understand correctly this is what happens:

https://mysite.com/secretloginslug –> https://mysite.com/secretloginslug

And this is what should happen:

https://mysite.com/secretloginslug –> https://www.mysite.com/secretloginslug

Please clarify the issue.

Yes, that’s exactly my problem. The steps are:

– Type https://mysite.com/secretloginslug
– Insert my credentials and confirm
– It doesn’t accept your credentials, you are redirected to https://www.mysite.com/secretloginslug
– Insert my credentials and confirm again
– Logged

In the other case:

– Type https://www.mysite.com/secretloginslug
– Insert my credentials and confirm
– Logged

When you disable the Hide Backend feature and then access:

https://mysite.com/wp-admin

Does it auto redirect you to:

https://www.mysite.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=…etc

or what happens when acessing (Hide Backend feature still disabled):

https://mysite.com/wp-login.php

I’m redirected to:

https://www.mysite.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=…etc

But if I access:

https://mysite.com/wp.login.php

I’m not redirected, so I’m still on:

https://mysite.com/wp.login.php

I guess you made a small typing mistake in wp.login.php in your last post and you probably tested without the typo.
(It should be wp-login.php).

Based on your results accessing https://mysite.com probably also does not redirect to the www subdomain.

So I think that is where the problem is. Fix that and all should be fine. Contact your hosting provider for assistance.

Anyway this is not an iTSec plugin issue.

Yes, sorry for the typo. It should be an hyphen, not a dot.

Anyway, you are wrong: https://mysite.com is correctly redirected, along with https://mysite.com/whatever.

Ok, that’s unexpected and weird.

So only https://mysite.com/wp-login.php is not redirected to the www subdomain…

I think my previous conclusion is still valid.
Fix it and the Hide Backend rewrite rule in the .htaccess file will start working too.

Disabling iTSec, if I access https://mysite.com/wp.login.php, I’m correctly redirected to https://www.mysite.com/wp.login.php
