• Hi,

I enabled the “Hide Backend” option for my site and I changed the URL with a complete fantasy name.

It happens that nearly every day my username is lockdout by iTheme Security.

How come this happend even if i hide the backend of my site?

How come brute force attack can detect my custom admin URL?

Note: I ALWAYS use premium themes and plugins from certified developers from the best Maketplaces.

    Thanks in advice

  • I have used this feature too but can’t even find where to change it or check the settings with the latest updates to the plugin. I too am being attacked with the brute force to the supposedly hidden backend and was locked out just yesterday.

I’ve asked this question many times. iThemes answer like a politician. They seem to not know or want to say why or how.
