This plugin looks great; however I must be totally confused… can I use this to hide blocks in the WP backend? For instance: Can I configure based on Author Role. I would like to configure it so that an Author role person only be able to use a small set of chosen (by Admin)blocks for when authoring posts? It seems no matter how I have it set up the Author still has access to all blocks… I must be missing something ??

THANK YOU, ahead of time !

    Hi @fourwhitesocks,

Sorry for the confusion. Block Visibility allows you to show/hide blocks on the frontend, not the backed. The User Role control is for when you want to show specific content to, say, “customers” or “contributors”.

You will need another plugin to accomplish what you are looking for. Please let me know if I can answer any additional questions or be of further assistance.

    Best,
    Nick

Ok Nick thank you!! I wondered! I wonder if maybe you should make a note about that somewhere on the Plugin…? It was not clear to me, I did know that it for sure was for the Fontend but I thought maybe there was a way to do it on the back end too ?? It seems like a great plugin though!

** Do you have an expert recommendation (since you are ‘in the know’ ) of a lightweight plugin that will accomplish this?

Thank you for your quick reply!
