Where did you place this CSS?

There is a section within the documentation that covers how to add CSS to the invoice or estimate templates.

I just added it using a Custom CSS plugin. Why doesn’t that work?

So I need to alter or create a custom theme?

The custom CSS plugin likely hooks onto wp_head and because the invoice and estimate templates don’t fire that hook (because of major problems with other plugins and themes) the CSS is never added.

You do not need to create a custom template, you just need to add a filter to your theme’s functions.php file. Checkout “*Adding CSS*” on that documentation page. I recommend you use the second option since you don’t have a lot of CSS to add.

Dan, the link did not work for me. What should I be searching for? Not sure exactly what “adding a filter to your theme’s php file” means.

You can look up how to use WordPress filters within the codex, google should return some good tutorials. Our documentation is for members only.
