Hide download link when resticted to a group

I have some downloads restricted to a certain user group (from Groups plugin).
Now when they’re logged in they see [Download not found] instead of the download link.
I’d like to change this text (to something like ‘Not authorized’) or – even better hide the whole link.

How do I do that?
