Hide Edit link (below page) or Edit Page (in admin bar)

  • Hello there!
    I am using the plugin and I am satisfied with its simplicity.
    However, I am having a problem. My members (author role in users) are not allowed to publish/edit/delete any page in my site. They can only publish posts. However, when they are logged in, at the front-end, and they visit a page, they can:
    1. See the Edit link , located exactly below the page. Clicking the link, the edit page of the backend opens
    2. see the “Edit Page” on the Admin menu bar. Clicking there, the edit page of the backend opens again.

    I tried disabling the option “Quick Edit page” under Write options-Page, but it doesn’t work.

    Can anyone help me with this?

    I have exactly the same problem, can’t seem to be able to hide the add/edit page options.

    As amanaceu, i would also like users to be able to publish posts, but not to publish pages (or edit them)

    Please help us out, thanks in advance!
