    How are you using the shortcode? I’d just tested it as in the example ([hide for="!logged"]Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.[/hide]) and it’s working fine. I think you may want to try some of the following alternatives:

    • Using the shortcode as [hidethis] instead of [hide]. Some other plugin that may be using the [hide] shortcode, and that can lead to conflicts.
    • Updating to the latest version of the plugin, 1.1, which was releases just today.

    I’m marking this as resolved, since it’s confirmed that the last three releases of this plugin work up to WordPress 3.8.1.
